We want to share in the excitement and your personal growth as an engaged couple and work together with you to make your engagement period and wedding preparations run as smoothly as possible. Therefore, we believe it is essential for you to submit yourselves to God's Word as a couple and enter into a counseling relationship with a pastor who can assist you in knowing His wonderful plan for your married life.

Please read the following requirements carefully and be sure you fully understand them. If you have any questions regarding our policies or procedures for weddings, please contact the church office immediately!

1. Buy and read the book To Close, Too Soon by Jim Tally & Bobbie Reed before your first pre-marital counseling begins.
   
2. Read and understand the pre-marital requirements and complete the check list provided.
   
3. Upon approval to enter pre-marital counseling, you may contact the church secretary (Stacy James) at the church office [(909) 381-5353] to see if the wedding date you are considering is available and to request the pastor of your choice. This date is to be considered only tentative until you have successfully completed the required counseling sessions, affirmatively been evaluated, and have paid the necessary fees. Also, please purchase the book Preparing For Marriage God's Way by Wayne Mack. This will be your primary counseling material. This book is available in the church bookstore.

   * Note: Should your evaluation or relationship indicate unresolved problems, you may be contacted by the interviewing pastor for further discussion, and/or you may be asked to have further counsel.

4. The required fee is $250.00 if you choose Calvary Chapel San Bernardino as your wedding location. This fee includes the rental of the building, the sound room services, and the wedding coordinator. Please direct your payment to the church secretary.

   These fees do not include an honorarium for the pastor performing the wedding ceremony. (A minimum of $50.00 is customary and can be given to him on the day of the wedding; this is not required but is completely the choice of the engaged couple.) Traditionally, the best man is the courier for the honorarium.
   

5. You must contact our wedding coordinator to schedule a rehearsal date and secure an information packet.
   
6. Once in counseling, you will be given additional wedding guidelines and recommendations.
